Grant's Farm

Working Farm · St. Louis, Missouri

A two-hundred-and-eighty-acre estate in south St. Louis County on land Ulysses S. Grant farmed in the 1850s, owned by the Busch family since 1903 and open to the public as a free-admission animal park - you pay for parking rather than entry. A tram carries visitors through a deer park stocked with animals from around the world to a Bavarian-style courtyard with a goat pen, an elephant show and the Budweiser Clydesdales. The cabin Grant built with his own hands, Hardscrabble, stands on the grounds.
