A jazz club on Broadway in Uptown that has been trading since 1907 and looks it — the same green banquettes, the same long mahogany bar, the same booth Al Capone's outfit used, which is the one facing the door with sightlines to both exits. Jazz runs seven nights a week and the poetry slam was invented here in 1986.
