Greensboro Science Center

Science Museum · Greensboro, North Carolina

One of the very few institutions in the United States accredited simultaneously as a zoo, an aquarium and a museum - a combination that makes it far better value than any of the three alone. It began in 1957 as the Greensboro Junior Museum and now holds tigers, gibbons and meerkats alongside a full aquarium with sharks and penguins, a science museum, and a treetop ropes course built through the animal habitats.

4301 Lawndale Drive, Greensboro, North Carolina, 27455, United States

Generally 9 AM to 5 PM daily, with seasonal variation; closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Ticketed. ⚠ THE SKYWILD ROPES COURSE AND THE OMNISPHERE THEATRE CARRY ADDITIONAL CHARGES on top of admission. It combines a zoo, an aquarium and a science museum on one site, which is unusual and is the reason to come.
