Hersheypark
Theme Park · Hershey, Pennsylvania
An amusement park opened in 1906 by Milton Hershey as a leisure ground for the workers of his chocolate factory, and grown into one of the largest in the eastern United States, with roughly fifteen roller coasters spread over a steep hillside. Two things separate it from its competitors: a full water park is included in the ordinary admission rather than sold as an add-on, and so is ZooAmerica, a North American wildlife park reached by a bridge from inside the gates. The park sits at the centre of a company town that has been selling itself to American families for a century, with a free brand attraction, two resort hotels, gardens and an arena within a mile of the turnstiles.
