Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site
National Historic District · Camden, South Carolina
A hundred and seven acres on the edge of Camden, the oldest inland town in South Carolina, interpreting the year the British occupied and fortified it during the Revolution. Cornwallis made it his главный supply base for the interior, ringed it with redoubts, and held it until he abandoned and burned much of it in 1781. The site is an open-air museum of reconstructed fortifications and relocated period buildings, and it is an affiliated area of the National Park Service.
