Historic Route 66 in Arizona

Historic Route 66 · Seligman, Arizona

Arizona's stretch of the old highway from Chicago to Los Angeles, including the longest surviving continuous section of original Route 66, from Seligman west through Peach Springs, Hackberry and Kingman and over the switchbacks of Sitgreaves Pass to Oatman, where wild burros wander the main street. Further east, the road passes through Williams, the last town on the route bypassed by the interstate, Winslow's Standin' on the Corner Park, and Holbrook's Wigwam Motel. Seligman residents started the revival of Route 66 in the 1980s. 2026 is the road's centennial year. Its motels, diners and neon signs are the main attraction.
