The last and grandest theatre Alexander Pantages built, opened in 1930 on Hollywood Boulevard in full Art Deco and now the main house for touring Broadway in Los Angeles. The Academy Awards were held here through the 1950s, which is why the auditorium looks familiar from newsreels before you have ever been inside it.
