Huntsville Botanical Garden
Botanical Garden · Huntsville, Alabama
A hundred and twelve acres of garden beside the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, opened in 1988 and grown quickly into the most substantial botanical garden in north Alabama. Its best-known feature is a seasonal butterfly house that is among the largest open-air ones in the country, running through the warm months with hundreds of native butterflies in a netted garden. In winter the whole site is given over to Galaxy of Lights, which Huntsville drives through by the thousand.
