Ichetucknee Springs State Park

Florida State Park · Fort White, Florida

Six miles of spring-fed river running through hardwood forest, and the most famous tube float in Florida. Eight named springs feed the Ichetucknee, which the Department of the Interior declared a National Natural Landmark in 1972, and on a summer day thousands of people drift down it on inner tubes at walking pace. The state bought it in 1970 specifically to stop it being developed.
