Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center

Specialty Museum · Skokie, Illinois

A museum in Skokie founded by survivors who settled there, and built directly out of one event: when neo-Nazis announced a march through Skokie in 1977, the survivors who had chosen that town organised, fought it through the courts, and then spent thirty years building this instead. It opened in 2009 and holds one of the few original German rail cars of its kind in North America.

9603 Woods Drive, Skokie, Illinois, 60077, United States
