The largest railway museum in the United States, on a hundred acres at Union with something over four hundred pieces of rolling stock — steam, diesel, electric interurbans, Chicago L cars and streetcars. Crucially it is not a static collection: it has its own demonstration railway and its own streetcar line, and on an operating day the things in the sheds are out and running.
