Indiana State Museum
History Museum · Indianapolis, Indiana
The state museum of Indiana, in a limestone and sandstone building on the canal in White River State Park, covering the state's natural history, cultural history and art across three floors, with a large-format cinema attached. The building is faced with materials from all ninety-two Indiana counties, one panel each, which is a conceit that works better than it sounds. It also administers roughly two dozen state historic sites across Indiana, several of which are separately significant.
