Indianapolis Zoo
Zoo · Indianapolis, Indiana
A zoo in White River State Park on the western edge of downtown Indianapolis, and the only institution in the United States accredited simultaneously as a zoo, an aquarium and a botanical garden. It is also unusual in receiving no ongoing tax support, which is why admission is priced as it is and why it uses demand-based pricing. The zoo administers the Indianapolis Prize, a large international award for animal conservation, and its orangutan centre and dolphin pavilion are the exhibits it is known for.
1200 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46222, United States
