Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Ski Resort — Terrain On Private Land And Bridger Teton National Forest · Teton Village, Wyoming
A ski mountain at Teton Village, twelve miles from the town of Jackson, known worldwide for steep terrain and for the Aerial Tram that lifts 4,139 vertical feet to the 10,450-foot summit of Rendezvous Mountain. Corbet's Couloir, a narrow chute entered by dropping off a cornice, sits in plain view of the tram and is among the most famous ski runs in North America. It opened in 1965 and runs two seasons: skiing from late November or early December to early April, and tram sightseeing, hiking and mountain biking from mid-May to early October, when many of its visitors are on a Grand Teton and Yellowstone trip and never ski at all.
