Japanese Tea Garden

Japanese Garden · San Antonio, Texas

A garden built inside an abandoned limestone quarry in Brackenridge Park, with a sixty-foot rock face, a waterfall dropping into koi ponds, stone bridges and a pagoda-roofed pavilion above it all. It is free, it takes half an hour to walk, and it is the single best-value thing to do in San Antonio.

3853 North St Mary's Street, San Antonio, Texas, 78212, United States

⚠ FREE ADMISSION, EVERY DAY, with no booking and no photo permit required. ⚠ HOURS ARE PUBLISHED INCONSISTENTLY — the San Antonio Parks Foundation says 7 AM - 5 PM daily and the City of San Antonio says sunrise to sunset; assume the shorter if making a special trip. Leashed dogs welcome. ⚠ Drones, balloons, confetti, props, photo equipment and wagons are all prohibited. The small lot fills fast; overflow across Alpine Street.
