Jim Beam American Stillhouse

Distillery · Clermont, Kentucky

The visitor operation at Clermont for the largest-selling bourbon in the world, run by the seventh and eighth generations of the same family who have made whiskey in Kentucky since the 1790s. The campus is the most polished and the most industrial of the big distillery visits — a purpose-built stillhouse, a large tasting room, a restaurant and a bourbon bar — and it is the easiest one to reach, sitting directly off I-65 between Louisville and Elizabethtown. It is the volume introduction to bourbon rather than the connoisseur's stop, and it is honest about that.

568 Happy Hollow Road, Clermont, Kentucky, 40110, United States

Open daily, generally 9 AM - 5 PM with reduced Sunday hours; closed on major holidays. Tours are ticketed and run on a rolling daily schedule; advance booking is recommended for weekends and October but walk-up availability is better here than anywhere else on the Bourbon Trail.
