Jonathan Dickinson State Park
Florida State Park · Hobe Sound, Florida
The largest state park in southeast Florida — over 11,000 acres of globally imperilled sand pine scrub, pine flatwoods and cypress along the Loxahatchee, the only National Wild and Scenic River in the state. Hobe Mountain, an ancient dune, carries an observation tower that is the highest point for a long way in any direction, and the park was a secret Army radar training camp during the Second World War.
16450 Southeast Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida, 33455, United States
Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. The Loxahatchee River boat tour runs on a set schedule and sells out.
