Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
Science Museum · Merritt Island, Florida
The visitor centre of a working spaceport, on the barrier island from which every American crewed mission has launched since 1968. Space Shuttle Atlantis hangs in its own building at the angle it flew, thirty feet from the glass; the Saturn V in the Apollo centre is a genuine flight-ready rocket, 363 feet long, suspended above the room in stages.
Space Commerce Way, Merritt Island, Florida, 32953, United States
Open daily, generally 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or later, with occasional closures for launch operations. Last bus to the Apollo/Saturn V Center leaves well before closing.
