Khoiyachora Waterfall
Waterfall · Mirsharai, Chattogram
The queen of the Mirsharai waterfall country: a cascade system of seven-plus tiers stepping down a jungle stream in the hills east of the Dhaka-Chattogram highway, reached by a genuine trek - roughly one and a half to two hours of stream-bed walking, mud, crossings and scrambles from the trailhead village. In full monsoon the tiers thunder and the trail is half stream; in winter the flow thins to ribbons over green-black rock and the walking eases. Local guides work the trailhead, bamboo staves rent for pennies, and the trek is the point as much as the falls: this is Bangladesh's most accessible taste of proper jungle-stream hiking.
Khoiyachora Trail Road, Boro Darogar Hat, Mirsharai, Chattogram, Bangladesh
The trailhead operates daylight hours with a small ticket and guides for hire (recalled rates UNVERIFIED) - practical trekking runs roughly 8 AM to mid-afternoon starts at the latest, since the round trip fills the daylight budget. Monsoon (July-September) gives full falls and the hardest trail; winter the easiest walking and thinnest flow. Flash-rise weather closes the stream to sense, whatever the hour.
