Knoebels Amusement Resort

Amusement Park · Elysburg, Pennsylvania

A family-owned amusement park in a wooded valley at Elysburg that charges nothing to walk in, nothing to park, and sells tickets by the ride rather than by the day — a model almost every other American park abandoned decades ago. It has been run by the same family since 1926, it is built among the trees rather than on cleared ground, and its two wooden coasters are regularly voted the best in the world by enthusiast polls. You can bring your own picnic, sit under the trees and pay for four rides, and nobody will mind.

391 Knoebels Boulevard, Elysburg, Pennsylvania, 17824, United States
