Kualoa Ranch
Ranch · Kaneohe, Hawaii
A four-thousand-acre private nature reserve and working cattle ranch on the windward coast of Oahu, established in 1850 and made up of three valleys - Kaʻaʻawa, Kualoa and Hakipuʻu. It is about twenty-four miles from Waikiki on Hawaii State Route 83. It is best known outside Hawaii as a filming location, and its tours are built around that, around the valleys themselves and around the ranch's own long history on this coast.

Open daily with tours running to a fixed timetable from morning to mid-afternoon. ⚠ EVERYTHING HERE IS A BOOKED, TIMED TOUR - there is no general admission and no wandering the ranch on your own, which surprises visitors who arrive expecting to buy a ticket at the gate and walk in. Tours sell out, particularly the film-location ones. ⚠ THE ROAD TOURS RUN IN OPEN VEHICLES AND ARE CANCELLED OR REROUTED IN HEAVY RAIN, which the windward coast delivers often.
