Lake Havasu State Park

Arizona State Park (Windsor Beach) · Lake Havasu City, Arizona

A lakeshore state park on the north side of Lake Havasu City, with sandy beaches, boat ramps, a campground and cabins about two miles from London Bridge. Lake Havasu is a reservoir on the Colorado River behind Parker Dam, completed in 1938, and its clear water fills with boats, jet skis and swimmers from spring to autumn. The park's Mohave Sunset Walking Trail follows the shore through desert plants, and sunsets over the California mountains across the water are a nightly draw. Spring break brings huge crowds, and summer temperatures often pass 110°F, when the water is the only relief. Boaters must follow Arizona's rules on invasive quagga mussels.

699 London Bridge Road, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, 86403, United States

Park open daily year-round; campground open overnight. Day-use hours and ramp hours vary by season (check azstateparks.com/lake-havasu).
