A quiet reservoir park in the farmland of Lenawee County that became Michigan's first Dark Sky Preserve in 1993, and the reason anyone drives out here after sunset. It is far enough from Detroit, Toledo and Ann Arbor for the glow of all three to sit low on the horizon while the sky overhead goes genuinely dark.
