A limestone cave system in the mountains above Shasta Lake, and a National Natural Landmark, reached by a journey that is half the attraction — a catamaran across the lake, then a bus up 800 feet of switchbacks, before you reach the entrance at all. The Cathedral Room is hung with cascading flowstone and 60-foot draperies.
