Laumeier Sculpture Park
Urban Park · St. Louis, Missouri
A hundred and five acres in Sunset Hills holding more than seventy large-scale outdoor sculptures, free and open every day, run in partnership with St. Louis County Parks. It opened in 1976 on land left to the county by Matilda Laumeier and was one of the earliest dedicated sculpture parks in the United States. The best-known work is Alexander Liberman's The Way, a 1972 arrangement of enormous red-painted salvaged oil tanks that has become the park's emblem.
12580 Rott Road, St. Louis, Missouri, 63127, United States
THE PARK IS FREE and open daily from 8 AM to half an hour past sunset, year round. The indoor gallery and the museum shop keep shorter hours and are closed on some weekdays - check before relying on them. The park itself never charges and never needs a ticket.
