A theme park built for children roughly two to twelve, on the site of Cypress Gardens — Florida's first theme park, opened in 1936 and closed in 2009. The historic botanical gardens were kept and sit inside the park still, so a Legoland ticket also buys you a 1930s banyan-and-bamboo garden that predates Walt Disney's arrival in the state by thirty-five years.
