Botanical Garden · Richmond, Virginia

Fifty acres north of Richmond on land a tobacco magnate laid out as a cycling club in the 1890s, now a dozen themed gardens around a classical domed glasshouse. It is consistently placed in national top-ten lists of American botanical gardens, and its GardenFest of Lights from late November is one of the largest winter light displays in the mid-Atlantic and the busiest six weeks of its year.

1800 Lakeside Avenue, Richmond, Virginia, 23228, United States

Generally 9 AM - 5 PM daily, closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. GardenFest of Lights runs evenings from late November into early January and is a timed, separately booked ticket.
