Lewisburg

Old Town · Lewisburg, West Virginia

A small Greenbrier valley town of the 1780s whose centre is a National Register historic district of a couple of hundred acres, walkable end to end in twenty minutes. It has an arts life out of all proportion to its size — a Carnegie Hall built in 1902 and still in continuous use, the state professional theatre of West Virginia, and a main street of independent bookshops, galleries and restaurants. It is the town people actually stay and eat in when they come to this corner of the state.
