Linvilla Orchards
Upick Farm · Media, Pennsylvania
Three hundred acres of working orchard and farm at Media in Delaware County, run by the same family since 1914 and long since converted into the pick-your-own destination for the whole Philadelphia region. Strawberries in June, cherries and peaches through the summer, apples from late August and pumpkins through October, with a farm market, a bakery, hayrides and a substantial Halloween operation attached. It is unashamedly commercial and it is also a genuine working farm, which is a combination that only survives close to a big city.
137 West Knowlton Road, Media, Pennsylvania, 19063, United States
Open most of the year, generally daily from morning to late afternoon, with the farm market and bakery running year round. Pick-your-own is strictly seasonal and crop-dependent — check the farm's crop line before travelling. October brings extended hours, a Halloween programme and weekend admission or wristband charges. Reduced winter operation.
