Linville Falls
Waterfall · Linville Falls, North Carolina
The Linville River drops through a series of falls at the head of Linville Gorge - twin upper falls, a short gorge, and then a high-volume forty-five-foot plunge into the canyon below. It has the highest volume of any waterfall on the northern edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and four separate overlooks reached by short trails give completely different views of the same water. It is free, and it is the most-visited waterfall on the Parkway.
