Lion Country Safari

Safari Park · Loxahatchee, Florida

The first cageless drive-through safari park in the United States, opened in 1967 by a group of investors who had seen the model in East Africa and reversed it — the animals roam and the visitors stay in the cage, which is their own car. Four miles of road through seven sections of open preserve, and a walk-through park afterwards that is included in the same ticket.

2003 Lion Country Safari Road, Loxahatchee, Florida, 33470, United States

Open daily. The drive-through preserve closes earlier than the walk-through park; last vehicle entry is well before closing time.
