Los Angeles Union Station

Historic Site · Los Angeles, California

The last of the great American railway terminals, opened in 1939 and built where the city's original Chinatown stood — some three thousand residents were displaced to make room, a fact the station now acknowledges. Mission Revival meets Streamline Moderne inside a waiting room with a 52-foot ceiling, marble floors and the original leather armchairs. Free to walk into.

800 North Alameda Street, Los Angeles, California, 90012, United States

Open daily, effectively 24 hours as a working station. Free.
