Lubbock Lake Landmark

Archaeological · Lubbock, Texas

A bend of Yellowhouse Draw on the northern edge of Lubbock holding one of the few sites in the Americas with evidence of continuous human presence across roughly twelve thousand years — Clovis hunters through to historic ranching, stacked in readable layers. Mammoth, giant short-faced bear and ancient bison have all come out of the ground here, and the dig is still working.
