Madhabkunda Waterfall
Waterfall · Barlekha, Sylhet
A roughly sixty-metre single-drop waterfall in the hills of Barlekha, Moulvibazar, routinely described as the biggest waterfall in Bangladesh - a customary title rather than a measured one, but nothing else in the country matches its combination of height, volume and access. The fall pounds into a rock amphitheatre and pool at the end of a short paved eco-park walk, with Khasia villages and tea and betel country around it. In the monsoon it is a thundering brown column; in winter a slighter white ribbon with swimmable-looking (but repeatedly deadly - see warnings) water beneath.
Madhabkunda Eco Park Road, Barlekha, Sylhet, Bangladesh
Eco-park hours roughly 9 AM to 5 PM daily with ticketed entry - exact current hours and fees UNVERIFIED; arrive at opening on winter weekends to beat tour buses. The fall runs year-round, at maximum volume July-October. The plunge pool is closed to swimming at all times.
