Magoffin Home State Historic Site
Historic House · El Paso, Texas
An 1875 adobe house in central El Paso built in the Territorial style — thick mud-brick walls under a Greek Revival face — and lived in by four generations of one borderland family until 1986, which is why almost everything inside it belonged to them rather than to a curator. The Magoffins were Anglo, Mexican and American by turns as the border moved around them.

⚠ HOURS, TOUR TIMES AND ADMISSION ARE NOT STATED HERE — I could not verify them. Check thc.texas.gov before travelling; THC sites commonly close one or two days a week. ⚠ THE HOUSE IS GENERALLY SEEN ON A SCHEDULED GUIDED TOUR rather than by free wandering, so confirm departure times, not just opening hours. Photography inside is likely restricted — ask at the start of the tour.
