Martin House
Historic House · Buffalo, New York
The Darwin D. Martin House complex in Buffalo, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright between 1903 and 1905 for the executive who became his most important early patron — six connected buildings on a single site, and Wright himself regarded it as one of his finest Prairie works. Three of them were demolished in the 1960s and rebuilt from the original drawings in a restoration that ran for decades and cost more than fifty million dollars.
