Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens

Botanical Garden · Fort Bragg, California

Forty-seven acres running from Highway 1 down through pine forest and fern canyon to a headland above the Pacific — the only public garden in the continental United States fronting directly onto the ocean. The coastal bluff at the far end is a recognised whale watching point, and the rhododendron collection is among the best on the West Coast.

18220 North Highway 1, Fort Bragg, California, 95437, United States

Daily, typically 9 AM - 5 PM March-Oct, 9 AM - 4 PM Nov-Feb. Free parking.
