Millennium Park and Cloud Gate
City Park · Chicago, Illinois
Twenty-five acres built over a working rail yard and an underground car park at the north-west corner of Grant Park, opened in 2004 four years late and roughly three times over budget. It holds Anish Kapoor's Cloud Gate — the polished steel ellipsoid universally called the Bean — Frank Gehry's Jay Pritzker Pavilion, and Jaume Plensa's Crown Fountain, and all of it is free, all of the time.
201 East Randolph Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60602, United States
Open daily 6 AM - 11 PM. Free. Crown Fountain runs seasonally, roughly May to October.
