Mission Inn Hotel and Spa

Historic Site · Riverside, California

A twelve-room adobe boarding house that Frank Miller expanded over thirty years into a building occupying an entire Riverside city block — flying buttresses, spiral staircases, catacombs, a five-storey rotunda and an international bell collection. Ten American presidents have stayed; Nixon married Pat here and Reagan honeymooned here. From late November it is buried under some five million lights.

3649 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside, California, 92501, United States

Public areas open daily, free. Museum and tours have set hours. Festival of Lights late Nov to early Jan.
