Moro Bay State Park
Arkansas State Park At The Confluence Of The Ouachita River, Moro Bay And Raymond Lake In South Arkansas, On The Site Of A Ferry Crossing That Operated Until The 1960s. · Jersey, Arkansas
Moro Bay sits where the Ouachita River, Moro Bay and Raymond Lake meet in the pine country of south Arkansas, and until the 1960s a ferry carried Highway 15 across the river here - the park keeps a ferry boat on the bank as a reminder. It is a small fishing and boating park: a marina, a launch ramp, a campground and a few cabins on the water, surrounded by the timber country that is most of what southern Arkansas is. There is very little else within half an hour in any direction, which is exactly why a state park is there. The bird life on the river bottoms is better than the park's size suggests.
6071 Highway 15 South, Jersey, Arkansas, 71651, United States
