Museum of the Rockies
Natural History · Bozeman, Montana
A university museum in Bozeman holding one of the largest collections of dinosaur remains in the United States, most of it dug out of the Hell Creek and Two Medicine formations a few hours away in eastern Montana. Jack Horner was curator here for decades, described Maiasaura nesting colonies that changed how palaeontologists think about dinosaur parenting, and advised the Jurassic Park films. The T. rex holdings in particular are exceptional. A bronze T. rex called Big Mike stands outside, and there is a planetarium and a living history farm attached.
600 West Kagy Boulevard, Bozeman, Montana, 59717, United States
