Naper Settlement

Open Air Museum · Naperville, Illinois

A thirteen-acre outdoor history museum in the middle of Naperville, made up of around thirty nineteenth-century buildings — some original to the site, most rescued from demolition elsewhere in the county and moved here. It runs as a working village with costumed interpreters through the warm months: a blacksmith at the forge, a one-room schoolhouse, a print shop, a Gothic Revival chapel and the 1883 Martin Mitchell Mansion.

523 South Webster Street, Naperville, Illinois, 60540, United States

Full operation with interpreters roughly April to October. Reduced or grounds-only access outside the season — check before travelling. Free parking.
