National Corvette Museum
Specialty Museum · Bowling Green, Kentucky
A museum devoted to a single car, sitting across Interstate 65 from the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant — the only place in the world where Corvettes are built. It holds around eighty cars across the model's whole history, and buyers can take delivery of a new one on the floor. In February 2014 a sinkhole opened under the Skydome and swallowed eight of them, which turned an enthusiast museum into a story everyone had heard of, and the collapse is now an exhibit in its own right.
350 Corvette Drive, Bowling Green, Kentucky, 42101, United States
Open daily, generally 8 AM - 5 PM; closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Easter. The GM assembly plant tour is booked separately, carries a minimum age and a footwear requirement, and is suspended from time to time — verify before travelling.
