National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific

National Cemetery · Honolulu, Hawaii

A United States national cemetery in Punchbowl Crater above Honolulu, administered by the National Cemetery Administration of the Department of Veterans Affairs and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It honours those who served in the American armed forces and those killed doing so, including many who died in the Pacific in the Second World War, Korea and Vietnam. Millions of people visit each year, which makes it one of the most visited places in the state and also, still, a working burial ground.
