Nauticus and the Battleship Wisconsin
Specialty Museum · Norfolk, Virginia
A maritime science and history centre on the Norfolk waterfront with the USS Wisconsin moored alongside it — an Iowa-class battleship, one of the last the United States ever built, which fired her sixteen-inch guns in the Second World War, off Korea and then again in the Gulf in 1991 before being struck from the register. The ship is the reason to come; the museum is built around her.
One Waterside Drive, Norfolk, Virginia, 23510, United States
Generally 10 AM - 5 PM, with a reduced schedule in winter and some Monday closures. The Wisconsin's main deck is included with admission; below-decks tours run on a limited schedule and are booked separately.
