Nebraska Crossing Outlets

Outlet Shopping Centre Beside Interstate 80 Between Omaha And Lincoln · Gretna, Nebraska

Nebraska Crossing is an open-air outlet shopping centre in Gretna, beside Interstate 80 roughly halfway between Omaha and Lincoln and about 25 to 40 minutes from the centre of either city. It opened in its current form around 2013, replacing an older and largely empty outlet mall on the same site (hedge), and has been expanded since; it is usually described as the largest outlet centre in Nebraska, with dozens of brand-name outlet stores, often quoted at around 80 or more (check the directory). The stores sell clothing, shoes, sportswear, handbags, kitchenware and children's goods along outdoor walkways, with parking around the edges and a handful of restaurants and snack counters. Shoppers drive in from Omaha and Lincoln and from Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and the Dakotas, often for a weekend that pairs the outlets with Mahoney State Park, the Strategic Air Command museum and the Wildlife Safari Park one exit to the west. Be clear about what it is: a shopping stop, not a sight, with fixed prices, chain food and a lot of walking outdoors in Nebraska weather.

NO OPENING TIME HERE WAS CHECKED. The typical pattern: stores open roughly 10 am and close around 8 or 9 pm Monday to Saturday, with shorter Sunday hours such as roughly 11 am to 6 pm; restaurants may keep longer hours than the shops. Hours are extended, sometimes to very early or overnight openings, around Thanksgiving and Black Friday and through December, and the centre closes or shortens hours on some holidays such as Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Individual stores can keep different hours. The traps that ruin a day are arriving on the Saturday after Thanksgiving expecting a quiet browse, finding one particular store has closed for good, and a winter blizzard closing I-80. Confirm current times before relying on them.
