Nha Trang
Vietnam'S Main Beach Resort, A 6 Km Crescent Of City Beach With A Seafront Of Hotel Towers, Mud Baths, Island Boat Trips And Diving, And The 8th Century Po Nagar Cham Towers. Popular With Russian And Vietnamese Tourists, Busy And Built Up · Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
Nha Trang is Vietnam's main beach resort, on the south-central coast. Its city beach is a curved 6 km strip along Tran Phu street, backed by a wall of high-rise hotels and apartment towers. It is honest to say it is built up, busy and commercial, and much of the tourism is Russian and Vietnamese, with shop and menu signs in Russian. The sand is wide and the water is calm in the dry months, but the beach is not wild. Beyond it are the island boat trips with snorkelling stops and party boats, mud baths, diving and the Vinpearl island resort across the bay. In town, the 8th-century Po Nagar Cham towers still serve as a working Hindu-Cham temple and give the city its oldest layer. Seafood restaurants line the streets, and nightlife runs late. The rainy season, roughly October to December, brings storms and rough seas. For a quiet beach look elsewhere, but for easy fun, diving and food it works well.

The beach is open and FREE all day and night, and the public seafront promenade never closes, though lifeguards only work in daytime. Island boat trips leave in the morning and return in the afternoon or evening, and are cancelled in storms or when the sea is too rough. Mud bath parks, Vinpearl and diving shops keep daytime hours; confirm the current times. Po Nagar is open daily in daytime with a small entry fee and may close to visitors during ceremonies. Nothing is closed on a fixed weekday, and Tet (lunar new year) shuts many smaller shops.
