Norton Museum of Art
Art Museum · West Palm Beach, Florida
West Palm Beach's art museum, founded in 1941 by a Chicago steel executive who retired to Florida with his collection, and rebuilt by Norman Foster in 2019 around a banyan tree that the architects refused to remove. It holds American, European and Chinese collections of real depth, and the Chinese holdings in particular are far stronger than a museum this size has any business owning.
1450 South Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33401, United States
Open Tuesday through Sunday with a late evening on some days. Closed Mondays. Check the free-admission day schedule.
