Observatory Park

Dark Sky Park · Montville, Ohio

A Geauga Park District park in the farmland of Montville, designated an International Dark Sky Park and built specifically for looking upward — with a public observatory, an open observing field, a scale model of the solar system laid out along a trail, and a seismograph station. It is free, and it is one of very few certified dark sky sites in Ohio.

10610 Clay Street, Montville, Ohio, 44064, United States

Park open daily, free. Public astronomy programmes run on a published schedule and are free and WEATHER-DEPENDENT, cancelling for cloud at short notice. The field is usable outside programme nights.
