Ohiopyle State Park
State Park · Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania
Twenty thousand acres of the Youghiogheny River Gorge in the Laurel Highlands, wrapped around a village of a few hundred people that becomes one of the busiest whitewater centres in the eastern United States every summer weekend. The Lower Yough is the most-run whitewater stretch of its class in the region, the falls sit in the middle of the village, and the Great Allegheny Passage runs straight through on its way from Pittsburgh to Washington. Fallingwater is ten minutes up the road.
